Join Jared Tarr, Volunteer Coordinator for Friends of Buford Park & Mt. Pisgah, for a 1.5 hour walk around Turtle Flats, with an optional work party extension. We will see the transformation from open gravel pits to restored wetland habitat, with plenty of native plant species. The work party runs until noon, so attendees can get in a half hour burst of service work if they so desire. We will be traversing some uneven ground, but primarily be on gravel roads/paths for a ~.75 mile out-and-back. Participants should dress for the weather, wear sturdy boots (waterproof a plus), bring water, and a snack if you’d like. Friends will supply any tools and gloves needed for the work party. Meet at the gated area on Franklin Blvd East, just past the railroad trestle and across from the EPUD building (33733 Seavey Loop Rd, Eugene).  To sign up click here.
