Ever wonder what plants flourish during the winter season in the Willamette Valley? We’ll examine and learn to identify ferns, lichens, trees, and shrubs in their winter stages, some with fruits, some without leaves or flowers, and notice which ones are already breaking bud. The two-hour walk will provide a diversity of examples of beautiful branches and bud patterns for us to enjoy.

Meet at the Mount Pisgah Arboretum entrance Kiosk at 1pm. Please note parking fees are required. Dress for the weather and your comfort. Trails are on uneven ground and could be muddy and slippery. Bring, if available, a hand-lens and walking poles (which are useful for pointing at plants!) Sign up here
